I was born in Georgia, where my love of cooking first began. When I was eight years old, my mother finally welcomed me into the kitchen. She hadn't learned to cook until after marrying my father, and in many ways, cooking became something we learned together. She first taught me how to make cookies, pies, and eventually cakes. By watching closely, taking notes, and spending countless hours in the kitchen, I developed the skills and passion that have stayed with me ever since.
When I was twelve, my family moved to Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay. There, I discovered a whole new world of fresh seafood and regional cooking that broadened my appreciation for quality ingredients and simple, flavorful meals.
At twenty-three, I moved to California and never looked back. The vibrant food culture of the West Coast introduced me to Mexi-Cali cuisine, fresh salsas, artisan breads, baked goods, bold spices, and incredible local flavors. Those influences continue to inspire the way I cook today.
Whenever possible, I use the highest quality ingredients and rarely rely on canned goods. Every dish I prepare is made with care, attention to detail, and a genuine love for cooking. My goal is simple: to bring my heart and soul into every meal I create.
